Anna Marie (Anderson) Erdman, 90, died October 27, 2015. She was born November 3, 1924, the daughter of Marcus and Beatrice (Moe) Anderson. Annie grew up in Aurora Township and graduated from Owatonna High School in 1942. Immediately after high school, she worked at the home of Dr. E. H. Rynearson, Head of Internal Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester; she was 17 and too young to enter nurses training. In 1943, Annie enrolled at the Kahler School of Nursing in Rochester and graduated with distinction in 1946. Annie married Herbert Erdman on July 22, 1945, at Aurora Lutheran Church and started their family soon after. She worked as a private duty nurse for several years. In the late 1950s, Annie was employed at the Owatonna Hospital and worked in many areas, including the surgery department and supervising the emergency room. She retired from the Owatonna Hospital in 1975 to help Herbert run the NAPA Auto Parts store in Waseca MN. Annie is survived by three sons, Marvin (and Joan), Pequot Lakes MN, Steven (and Cheryl), Owatonna, William (and Sue), Waseca MN; four grandchildren, Michael Erdman, Westford VT, Stephanie (and Brandon) O'Bryant, Tigard OR, Kara (and Mike) Deml, Waseca MN, Molly (and Chad) Schroeder, Janesville MN; two great-grandchildren, Maxwell and William Deml; two sisters-in-law, LaVone Anderson of Owatonna and Lois Erdman of Owatonna; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert Erdman; son, Donald Erdman; sister, Ruth Wendlandt; brothers, Harold, Thomas, Paul, and Lyle. Visitation will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, Owatonna on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Owatonna with The Reverend Dean Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church, the American Macular Degeneration Foundation or donor's choice. Michaelson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
