Charles Irwin Post, age 82 of Bradenton, FL passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2010. Charlie was born in Orange, New Jersey, February 10, 1928, the son of the late Charles I. Post Sr. and Nettie Carita Ackerman Post. His mother died when he was two weeks old. His father later married the former Mary-Irwin McElroy. He graduated from the Hill School in Pottstown, PA in l945; served in the US Army at the end of WWII; and graduated from Rutgers University in 1951 with a BS in Romance Languages. Charlie worked at Chase National Bank; Standard Brands Incorporated; and Applied Power Inc., where he retired as Vice President and Treasurer in 1986. He continued to serve on the board of a large mutual fund group for 18 years. He is survived by: His long time companion: Jacqueline W. Keller at home, and five children: Jeffrey C. (Katie) Post, Minneapolis, MN; Martha R. (Leo Laux) Post, Half Moon Bay, CA; Elizabeth A. Post, West Chester, OH; Caroline M. (Brian) DeWyer, Winston-Salem, NC; and David M. (Nancy) Post, Papillion, NE; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was predeceased by a sister, Irwin Sawyer Post Ives. Private Funeral Services will be held.
