HODGES - Ralph John Dalton, 82, of 4204 Highway 25 N., husband of Caroline Loner Dalton, died Friday, April 23, 2004 Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Sparta. Ga., he was the son of the late Emery Lee and Ada Mae Potter Dalton. He was a 1 940 graduate of Winder High School, Winder, Ga., and a World War II and Korean War veteran, retiring from the Navy after 21 years of service. He was also retired from Lander College and a member of Harris Baptist Church. He was first married to the late Pauline Hall Dalton.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Dan Dalton of Bloomington, Ind.; three sisters, Hazel D. Brock of Atlanta, Corine D. Davis of Winder and Virginia D. Hock of Carlisle. Penn.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Blyth Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Frank Thomas.
Entombment is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Pallbearers are Bill McCulIum, Bobby Motte, Tommy Jennings, Bobby McGraw, Gerald Deaton and Frank Coursey.
Honorary escorts are the King's Men Sunday School Class of Harris Baptist Church, along with Ladson Trail.
Visitation is 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Harris Baptist Church, 300 Center St.. Greenwood, SC 29649 or Hospice House Capital Campaign, 408 W. Alexander Ave., Greenwood, SC 29646.
