She grew up on the Story Ranch with the exception of a few years spent on a place called Green Mountain, on the divide between Rocky and Bridger Canyon.
Grace married Charles Winter on April 2, 1934. They made their home on the family homestead running the ranch together around Ringling.
Grace had two children, Mary and Richard.
Grace and Charles retired from ranching and moved to Billings in 1955. Grace loved her roses and gardening, and was a very good cook. She belonged to Eastern Star, Sweet Briar Chapter No. 49 where she received her 50-year pin.
Grace was survived by her daughter, Mary Thompson (Gale) of Bozeman and their children, Linda Tremelling, Murray Charles Thompson and Ward Thompson; and a son, Richard Winter (Phyllis) of Pahrump, Nev.
