Linda Barker Warner, 71 of Waldo, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Magnolia Health and Rehabilitation Center in Magnolia.
She was born on January 18, 1944 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Luther John and Mildred Ella (Kisinger) Barker. She was a school teacher for Magnolia Public School District. She taught at Waldo, Emerson and Magnolia campuses. She was a member of the Waldo Church of Christ, Delta Kappa Gamma, Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, the Arkansas Retired Teachers, and the Pilot Club.
Linda is survived by her husband Jerome Warner of Waldo; son Benjamin Warner and wife Janna and their children Isaac and Nathaniel Warner of Austin, Texas; daughter Rebecca Warner and her children Claire and Warner Peterson of Magnolia; and two brothers, Daniel Barker of Amarillo, Texas, and Charles Barker of Lubbock, Texas.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Waldo Church of Christ with Carl Harrell officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia City Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Children’s Homes, Inc., 5155 Walcott Road, Paragould, Arkansas 72450.
