George Puddy, 72, of 315 Grove St., died at 11 p.m. Wednesday at St. Agnes Hospital.
He was born Nov. 20, 1896, in the city, a son of Fred and Anna Puddy. He was a retired gardener.
Survivors include one son, Robert Puddy of Neenah; five brothers, Harry of Marblehead, Bert of the city, Medford of Milwaukee, Roy and Glen of Long Beach, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Paul Lance of St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. Frank Miller of Long Beach, Calif.
Mr. Puddy was preceded in death by one son, Harold, and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Rev. Jonathan Nielsen officiating. Burial will be in Rienzi Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral services for George Puddy, who died Wednesday, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, the Rev. Jonathan Nielsen officiating. Mrs. Mildred Galow was the organist.
Pallbearers were Eugene Puddy, Mark Puddy, Thomas Puddy, Richard Puddy Sr., Richard Puddy Jr., and ray Puddy. Burial was in Rienzi Cemetery.
