Mrs. Myrtle Marie Tennis, 73, of Kirkville, died early Sunday morning at her home. Born Jan. 9, 1903 in Kirkville, she was the daughter of Charles Nathan and Mary Ellen Farr Barnard.
On Dec. 23, 1925, she was married to Benjamin Howard Tennis and he died April 16, 1964. She lived her entire life in the Kirkville and Cedar vicinity.
Surviving are one son, Ronald Gene Tennis of Des Moines; one daughter, Mrs. Ila Marie Ruby of Kirkville and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, and five brothers. Service was held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Fremont Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Howard Cho officiating.
