Glendon Bryan Adams
(June 10, 1943 - October 24, 2015)

U.S. Veteran Glendon B. Adams went to be with the Lord on October 24, 2015 after several years of deteriorating health. He was born in Sugar Land, TX on June 10, 1943 to Glendon J. and Peggy B. Adams. At the time, his Father was deployed to Europe with the U.S. Army helping the allies to win WWII. His father's wartime service became a point of pride for young Glendon, who was later honored to serve the same country in an Army uniform. Glendon was known as a supreme story teller, and he loved to recount the tales of his dad's and other ancestors' heroism as well as their antics as 1832 arrivals among the Original 300 families that settled in Richmond.

Glendon grew up in Richmond, Texas, attending Lamar Consolidated High School there. He graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont where he served as president of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He attended graduate school and law school at the University of Houston, and subsequently received his Law Degree there, which forever branded him with the Cougar Spirit. He was an advisor to the U of H Chapter of Sigma Nu and a lifelong alumni supporter of University of Houston Athletics. (Go Coogs!)

Glendon served six years in the U.S. Army Reserves. He became a Paratrooper and was proud to be a Jump Master. His Reserve duty continued after marrying the love of his life Rosalie, a Beaumont girl whom he met while in college at Lamar University. Their 46 years of wedded bliss produced two wonderful sons, Bryan and Ryon. Bryan resides in Katy and partnered with his dad in a hobby they both enjoyed - vegetable gardening. U.S. Army LTC Ryon Adams serves at Ft. Shafter in Hawaii and is engaged to marry Huishi Li in December.

Glendon practiced law for 37 years, officing in Stafford, TX. As a devoted husband and beloved father, Glendon honored his Heavenly Father and his ancestral heritage with his fair-minded practice of law and the choices he made for family and community. He never forgot his roots and incorporated them into his entertaining story telling. He was a member of the Ft. Bend County Bar Association, Rotary International, and the Exchange Club. He loved attending Mass with his family and friends at the historic Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis, TX. He was a man with a gift for helping others to see the world as a place of possibility.

Glendon's family is hosting a visitation on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, from 5 - 7 p.m. followed by a 7 p.m. Rosary at Garmany & Carden Funeral Home Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, 5610 Demel Street, Wallis, TX 77485.

For those so desiring, memorial gifts may be directed to Guardian Angel Catholic Church, University of Houston Athletics, or any charity of the donor's choice.
