He was the son of John Jenkins and Dullie Jenkins.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Pam Proctor; one grandson, Shane Proctor; four brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Naomi Jenkins; two sons, Glenn Jenkins of Cantonment, Fla., and Scott Hollis of Philadelphia, Miss.; three daughters, Kay Wyatt of Cocomo, Ind., Kim Leader of South Bend, Ind., and Kim White of of Decatur; grandsons, Ryan Leader, Jay Wyatt, Chris Jenkins, Cody White, Bo White and Waylon Hollis; granddaughters, Cindy Wine, Lindsey Leader, Kyla White Blackwood and Nikki Hollis Grimes; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be friend, Johnny Lott, grandsons, Ryan Leader, Jay Wyatt, Chris Jenkins and Cody White, and sons-in-law, Jason Wine and Ron Wyatt.
His favorite event was watching the Blue Angels in Pensacola, Fla.
