She was born May 17, 1941 in Durham County and was the older daughter of the late William Benton "Bill" Ward and Ruby Eldora Varner Ward.Millie was named for her grandmother, Millicent Beasley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherrill Lee "Peanut" Brawley, Sr.
She attended Concord High School and Wingate. She worked for Hallmark Homes Inc. for over 12 years and worked for Cabarrus County Schools for 7 years after she retired.
She is survived by her granddaughter;a son, ;a daughter ; a sister; 2 nieces;a nephew; 2 great-great nephews; 1 great-great niece; and many cousins. She was also survived by her beloved dog, "Spanky".
