Obituary in The Shreveport Times August 15, 1929, Thursday:
Albert B. Butler, 55 years old, local painting contractor, died at his home, 616 East Erie street, Wednesday afternoon following an extended illness. Funeral services will be conducted at the home Thursday morning with the Rev. Flynn V. Long officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery under direction of Roll Osborn and Sons Funeral Home.

He is survived by his widow; three daughters, the Misses Eula and Gladys Butler and Mrs. Edwin Black, all of Shreveport; two brothers, T.B. Butler of Palestine Texas and A.C. Butler of Mesquite Texas; four sisters, Mrs. H.H. Rogelio of Lake Charles, Mrs. J.R. McCurry of Rockwall Texas, Mrs. H.H. Frayard of Mesquite Texas, and Mrs. C.B Porter of Alamo Texas.
