Joyce was born on September 17, 1916 to the late Mr. William Windon Berry and Mrs. Claudine (Charter) Berry. She departed this life at her home in Tussy on Wed. evening October 21, 2015.
Joyce was raised at Tussy attending school there and at Pernell. She married Mr. Jesse Eugene Knight and to this union came one son, Gary. Jesse unexpectedly preceded her in death in 1940. Later she married Mr. Cleo W. Quick in 1943. To this union came two children, Clyde and Wanda. They moved frequently following work in the Oilfield, but always considered Tussy their home. Cleo also preceded her in death in 1973.
Joyce has always enjoyed residing at her home in Tussy and attending church at the Pernell Church of Christ.
She also enjoyed a good game of dominoes and she loved to fish.
In addition to Jesse and Cleo, also preceding her in death were her; Parents; 1 infant sibling; and other siblings, Zula, Clara, Alton, Obed "Hoss", Birdie Lou and Daphne.
Survivors include her two sons Mr. Gary D. Knight and wife Sherri of Durango, CO and Mr. Clyde G. Quick, Sr. of Elmore City; daughter, Mrs. Wanda J. Jenkins of Tussy; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.
Casket Bearers are Charlie Foster, Jerry Strickland, Dale Tivis, Kenneth Tivis, Derrel Tivis and Tommy Downey.
Family visitation will be from 2 to 4 pm Sunday afternoon at the funeral home in Ratliff City.
