IRMO--A Mass of Christian Burial for William Russell Gossett will be celebrated at 11:00 am Monday December 17, 2012 at Barr-Price Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Father Andrew J. Vollkommer officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church P.O. Box 549, Chapin, SC 29036.

Bill was born on August 30, 1945 in Columbia and passed away on Friday, December 14, 2012. He was the son of the late Ruby B. Tolbert. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, a partner in BB&L Heating and Air and served his country in the United States Air force. Bill passed peacefully after several prolonged medical issues. He faced each one with his own one of a kind sense of humor and bravery. His unique take on life will be missed by all those who knew or even met him.

Bill is survived by his childhood sweetheart and love of his life Joanne Gossett; children, Barbara Areheart, WEA Gossett and Jackie Rivers, four grandchildren, Curtis Areheart, Hailey Areheart, Nicholas Rivers and Morgan Rivers and sister, Diane Clark.
