Emory W. (Pop) Chandler, 70, of 1465 S. Tuxedo, a special patrolman at Stockton sports events for the past 24 years, died last night in a local hospital of a heart ailment. Mr. Chandler had been ill for 5 weeks. He had bee a private patrolman and a special officer and deputy since moving to Stockton in 1919. He was a native of Chincoteague Island, Va.
Surviving include his wife, Viola; 3 daughters, Mrs. John Bartoli and Mrs. Jessie Leipelt, both of Stockton, and Mrs. Philip Strayer of Redding; and 3 sons, Douglas F. Chandler of Stockton, William E. Chandler of Modesto, and John D. Chandler of Hayward.
