He passed from this life July 8, 2005 in Lubbock, Texas at age of 92 years. Mr. Sherrill lived in the Draw community for most of his life. He married Mary V. Shook Nov. 11, 1933 in O'Donnell. He was a farmer and an active member in the Draw United Methodist Church. He enjoyed woodworking and loved spending time with his children and his grandchildren. His parents and one brother, X.L. Sherrill, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Mary V. Sherrill of Draw; one son, Gerry Sherrill of Post; three daughters, Paula Sherrill of Lubbock, Gustene Bairrington and husband Leo of O'Donnell, and Linda Dubelbeis and husband Bill of Austin, TX; three brothers, Ronald Sherrill of Tahoka, J.E. Sherrill of Bovina, and Paul Sherrill of O'Donnell; three sisters, Myrl Mathis of Tahoka, Etha Mae Caswell of Abilene, and Bea Brown of San Angelo; one sister-in-law, Hope Bearden of San Angelo; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2005 at the Draw United Methodist Church and interment will follow in the Draw Cemetery.
