Mrs. Betty Ruth Clines Stephens, age 80, of Cedartown, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at her home.

She was born on October 1, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Sidney Albert Clines and Minnie Leaonnie Crowe Clines.

Mrs. Stephens is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Darlene Smith and Brenda and Doug Elkins; sons and daughter-in-law, Leamon A. Stephens, Jr. and James and Gina Stephens; five grandchildren, Cala Elkins Dittmer (Seth), Hannah Smith, Jonathan Smith, Lydia Elkins and Brittany Stephens; great-granddaughter, Kenzleigh Dittmer and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Stephens is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leamon A. Stephens, Sr.; son-in-law, Don Smith and brothers, Robert Clines and Johnny Clines.

The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Betty Ruth Clines Stephens will be conducted on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at eleven o’clock in the morning in the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Conner officiating, Mr. Darrell Stephens, Sr. giving the eulogy along with Dr. DeWayne New conducting the family prayer. Music will be provided by Mrs. Evelyn Haskin and granddaughter, Brittany Stephens will play the violin at the request of her grandmother. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Barry Snapp officiating.

The family of Mrs. Stephens will receive family and friends on Friday, October 23, 2015, from five o’clock in the evening until eight o’clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Wally Hindman, Phil Stephens, Darrell Stephens, Jr., Ed Sweezey, Sammy Stephens and Trey Stephens.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mrs. Betty Ruth Clines Stephens.
