She married Bernell Norton Calloway September 22, 1950 in Logan, Utah. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was the Primary Pianist and a Visiting Teacher. In her later years she loved attending church at the Hyrum 8th Ward with her granddaughter, Lexie and daughter Diane and Jim.
Joanne was employed with Farr's Ice Cream as a supervisory clerk for 25 years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed swimming, bowling and sewing. She loved the outdoors, walking and hiking and her cat Rufus. She had a special relationship with two of her grandchildren, Lexie and Parker.
She is survived by her husband, Bernell; children, Marcia Diane Calloway-Graham (Charles James), Jerry Bernell Calloway, Becky Jex (Rod); seven grandchildren, Lexie, Parker, Sonya, Tyler, Cameron, Brianna, Austin; 14 great-grandchildren, Natasha, Sarah, James, Jeanette, Timothy, Laura, Ryan, Andrew, Thayne, Trever, Sydnee, Connor and Vash.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marie Hughes Hawkins; brothers-in-law, David Hawkins and Darwin Edmonde Shook.
