A.J. (Harpo) Rapp, died on October 20, 2015, at the Siloam Springs Regional hospital. He was born April 21, 1918, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, at home to Eunice Ramey Rapp and Albert Rapp.
He was preceded by his parents, his wife Merle Finch Rapp and daughter, Jane Rapp Fields.
He is survived by a son, Michael Rapp and wife Danette of Siloam Springs. He leaves five grandchildren, Wes Fields and wife Elva of Phoenix, Arizona, Kristy Johnson of Goodman, Missouri, Al Rapp and wife Tonisha of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Angie Lottman and husband Jonathan of Plano, Texas and Cindy Bonds and husband Garrett of Clinton, Arkansas. He leaves six great grandchildren Daniela and Alejandra Fields, Conner and Kenzie Bonds and Lilah and Olivia Rapp.
Harpo was a Navy veteran of World War II serving in the South Pacific and Occupation duty in Japan. He had retired as a railway mail clerk, from Franklin Electric and Anderson Company when he was ninety. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
