Harriet Bolen Hall, daughter of Jesse and Martena Bolen Hall, was born in Washington Co., Ohio. In 1862, she married Robert Cheetham Morrey, who died in the Civil War in 1863. On May 12, 1868, Harriet married Dr. Thomas A. Eagle, a widower. After Dr. Eagle's death, she married Joseph Oates, a widower, on June 2, 1897 in Macon County, Missouri.

Harriet B. Hall was born in Washington county, Ohio, Sept. 9, 1838. Departed this life Sept. 11, 1920 at 2 p.m. aged 82 years and 2 days. She was married to Robert C. Morey who lost his life in the service of the Union in 1863. She was married to Dr. Thomas Eagle May 12, 1868. She was married to Joseph Oates June 2, 1897.
Probably fifty years ago she united with the M. E. Church, having previously confessed her Lord and united with the Christian church. At the time of her death her membership was at the La Plata M. E. Church.
She was an invalid for several years being helpless for fourteen months. Sister Oates was one of a large family. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband, five sisters, two brothers and one step daughter, Mrs. Conrad Muff.
Sister Oates was loved by all who knew her. The family have the sympathy of all heir friends and neighbors in their hour of sorrow.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev Dr. Conduitte on Monday, Sept.13, at the Plainview M. E. Church before a large concourse of sympathizing friends.
