Born on Oct. 2, 1911 in Union County, Ohio to the late Beach and Emilie (Clark) McKitrick, he first married Alice Laverne May Turner Butler on Dec. 1, 1936. They were the parents of a daughter, Patricia. After divorcing, he married Claudia May Shroats in 1965. She survives him along with his daughter, stepmother, Mrs. Pearl mcKitrick, Gallipolis; stepdaughters, Beulah Valentine and Betty Tossey; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Rolland (Thelma) Mills of Marysville.

Burial in Oakdale Cemetery following service in Ingram Funeral Home.
