John Ashley Blackburn (3/12/1812-1880) was born the son of
John Blackburn (1784-1845)and Jemima Bolton (1787-).

His siblings were: Salanthie Blackburn, James Blackburn, Robert Blackburn, William Blackburn, Thomas Blackburn (sp. Polly Moulder), Luther Greer Blackburn, Sterling Blackburn, Jemima Blackburn (3/25/1817-) and James Robert Blackburn.

He married Anne Colvon Blackburn (1814-) on 10/12/1832. TN

Their children together were: *George Washington Blackburn (12/31/1836-), William A. L. Blackburn (1834-), Dr. John/James Howard Blackburn (1836/7-) and Rosa Blackburn (1840-). I can't find a census with George and his father John in it. However, family records of Tom Monroe Blackburn and other sites show this relationship.
*Per Lonormi Manuel
Thomas Blackburn from Blountville TN was my Maternal uncle. He and I wrangled (good naturally) over who Geo. Blackburn's father was for years, until I had my ancestry DNA done and discovered that GW Blackburn's father was Thomas Blackburn and his mother was Mary "Polly" Moulder. Thomas Blackburn's father was John Ashley Blackburn, and his mother was Jemima Bolton, so John A. and Jemima were actually GW's grandparents, not his parents Would you be willing to amend the linked parents memorials for GW Blackburn. As DNA is no exact, I will just show both to respect LonormI opinion as well.

He appeared in the 1850 census:
living with Anna, age 36, William A. L., age 16, James, age 13, and Rosa age 10. They were living in Grainger county, TN
The census said he was a farmer.

He appeared again in 1860 census, living in Tenn,
John age 48
Anne age 46
Emaline who I think is Rosa and maybe its her middle name as it is the same year 1840.

Thanks to Thomas Blackburn and Lonormi.
