Mrs. Christiansen Dies in Fremont
Funeral services for Mrs. Anders Christensen, 90, were held at 1:20
p.m., Wednesday, at the Wollmer & Warne Funeral Home in Hooper, and
at 2 o'clock at the Elim Lutheran church, Swaburg, with Rev. Drell
E. Bernhardson officiating.
Music for the services was by Mrs. Orvill Bergquist and Mrs. Drell
E. Bernhardsen, with Mrs. Alvis Petersen as organist. Pallbearers
were Richard and Donald Egbers, Arthur and Russell Johnson, Edward
Mallette and Harlold Bergquist.
Interment was made in the Elim Lutheran church cemetery.
Mrs. Christensen died last Friday night at the Lutheran Home for the
Aged in Fremont following a lingering illlness. Survivors include a
number of nieces and nephews.
She was born May 22, 1861, in Denmark, and came to the United States
in 1884. On May 16, 1886, she was married to Anders Christensen
and settled on a farm northeast of Hooper, where she lived until
1943 when she moved to the Lutheran home.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1935.

Mrs. Rancie Christensen, 89, died Friday at Fremont. She was born
on May 22, 1862 in Denmark and came to the USA at the age of 23 with
her brother, Soren Lauersen. She married Anders Christensen in
1885. He died in 1935. They had no children. Among the surviving
nieces and nephews are Mrs. Carl Egbers and Leslie Lauersen. She was
buried at the West Admah Cemetery.
