Carrie M. Andrews, 89, Gardner, died Tuesday, May 22, 2001, at her home.

She was born Dec. 8, 1911, in Chaney, Mo., the daughter of Charley and Martha Fleetwood.

She moved to Sunflower in 1951 from West Plains, Mo.
Mrs. Andrews had worked at Hercules Powder plant, and was a member of De Soto Baptist Church.

She married Glen Andrews. He died earlier.

A son, Ray Lane Jr., and four sisters, Lucille Fleetwood, Irene Fleetwood, Leona Dowling and Maggie Collins, also died earlier.

Survivors include a son, Mike Lane, Stockton, Mo.; a daughter, Ruby Thorpe, De Soto; two sisters, Lola Dowling, Elwood, Ind., and Lorene Marsh, Gladstone, Mo.; two grandchildren; a stepgrandchild; four great-grandchildren; and a stepgreat-grandchild.
