Rance Robinson of Bastrop went to his heavenly reward on Wednesday, June 15, 2005.

Rance was a lifelong resident of Morehouse Parish, a painting contractor, and an avid coon hunter. He was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Bastrop.

Funeral services for Rance Robinson, age 76, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2005 at the Central Church of Christ with Waymon Swain and Joe Nichols officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home, Bastrop. Visitation with the family will be Friday, June 17, from 5 p.m. till 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Rance is preceded in death by his father, Carl Robinson; mother, Velma Edna Robinson; wife, Helen Robinson; son, Sammy Robinson; his sister, Lorrine Butler; nephew, Timmy Butler; and his grandson, Rance Cody McPherson Eubanks.

He is survived by his wife, Sybil Hale Robinson; children, Nadine Vice, Dixie Victory, Carolyn Nix and husband Lorn Nix, Lona Eubanks and husband Tommy Eubanks, Rance Carroll Robinson, Will Jeffery Robinson and wife Connie Robinson, Johnny Randall Robinson and wife Cindy Robinson; sister, Helen McGaha and husband Harlan McGaha; brother, Hayward Clack; nieces, Georgia Ellen Hartley, Vivian Ann Eppinette; nephew, Tommy Ray Butler; eighteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are Paul Eikert, Roy Graham, Jack Hillburn, Don McIntyre, John DeBlieux, and Tanny Tully.

Honorary pallbearers are T.J. Parker and Bruce Bush.
