Skinner Family Association correspondence from Norman Skinner (Aug 1997):
Two years ago, I [Norman Skinner] found the grave of Hannah (King) Skinner, after making 5 trips to a cemetery in Monroe County [Ohio]. The reason it took 5 trips was the grave stone was broken off at the ground and was lying upside down. The back side was all weather beaten and in poor condition. On the 5th trip something told me to turn the stone over. To my surprise, it was in readable condition. I found the wife of Rev. Nathaniel Skinner, but no sign of him.
The cemetery is in a small place Beallsville, Monroe county, Ohio. The Cemetery is called Harmony Cemetery. It is on the back roads out of town. I uprooted the old stone, poured a new form, and placed what was left of the head stone in the new form. It’s now about a foot and a half shorter than original. This might last for a few years.
