"Country Correspondence - Chapman"
Henry C. Snodgrass died suddenly at his home northeast of town Saturday evening shortly before 9 o'clock. He was sitting in his chair engaged in conversation with members of the family when he was stricken with heart failure. The funeral was held Monday afternoon from the home. Rev. V. E. Shirley of Central City conducted the services. Interment was made in the Chapman cemetery. The deceased leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, one son and two stepchildren. Mr. Snodgrass was one of the pioneer settlers here and in his younger days was extensively engaged in farming and stock raising. His health has been poor of late years and he has gradually been retiring from active work. He was 66 years old. The heartfelt sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved ones.
