Mottley Adams, Retired Postal Employe, Dies

Mottley Adams, 63, of 1543 Ridgecrest Drive, died at 9:15 a.m. yesterday at City-County Hospital following an illness of one week.

A native of Warren County, he was the son of the late Eli and Eliza Mottley Adams. Prior to his retirement in 1961, he had been an employe of the Bowling Green Post Office for more than 38 years. At the time of his retirement he was postal supervisor.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Christ Episcopal Church under the direction of the Rev. H. Howard Surface. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. The body is at Gerard-Bradley Chapel.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Reding Adams, and a son, Mottley Adams Jr., Albertsville, Ala.

Mottley Adams, Sr., age 63, of Bowling Green, died Saturday, July 11, following an illness of one week.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Christ Episcopal Church under the direction of the Rev. H. Howard Surface. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Reding Adams; a son, Mottley Adams, Jr. of Albertville; and three grandchildren.
