Ethel was born on January 16, 1925, the daughter of James and Johanna (Lievense) Daane. She attended Sheboygan Falls High School.
On July 27, 1945, she married Marvin George Weavers. The couple resided on the family farm in Gibbsville, where they raised four children. Ethel later worked at the Larsen Canning Company in Cedar Grove.Ethel and Marvin were active members of Gibbsville Reformed Church. Ethel taught the children's Bible class, participated in the Bethany Circle, Missionary Society, and the woman's Bible study group. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Ethel is survived by her sons, David L. (Lori) Weavers of Oostburg and Daniel G. (Nancy) Weavers of McNeal, AZ; her daughter, Joan K. (Mark) Nielson of Mr. Vernon, OH; ten grandchildren, Jon (Liz) Weavers, Nate (Jessica) Weavers, Anne Moore, Kim (Bart) Haines, Kyle (Rachel) Weavers, Kari (Clif) Huntting, Paul (Bethany) Weavers, and J. Scott, Ben, and Courtney Nielson; 15 great-grandchildren, Jayden and Taryn Weavers, Brandon, Blake, and Kortney Haines, Kelly (Brandon) Landwelen, Karlee, Zachary, Henry, and Ava Weavers, Dakota Moore, Salome Weavers, and Sean, Haley, and Kylie Huntting; one great-great-grandson, Wesley Landwelen; and one brother-in-law, Bill Stoeffregen. Ethel is further survived by many nieces and nephews.Ethel was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Marvin George Weavers, her son, Thomas Marvin Weavers, three brothers, Howard (Avis) Daane and Bernard (Jackie) Daane, an infant brother, a sister, Gert Stoeffregen, and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Art and Ruth Arentsen.
Burial will take place at Gibbsville Cemetery in the Town of Lima.
