WATERFORD - Aloysia "Lulu" Catallo, 90, of Catallo Dr. died peacefully Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015 at her residence.

Born in Cleveland, OH she was the daughter of the late John and Wilma Matula Kradlak.

In her earlier years, Lulu worked for TWA Airlines and then for the US Information Agency in Montevideo, Uruguay.

In 1961 she met Thomas Catallo on Isla Mujeres, Mexico and they fell immediately in love. Tom drove down to Uruguay to propose, and they were married in 1964.

She returned with him to Waterford where she always enjoyed working on the family farm.

In the Fall she would work at a fresh vegetable stand on Fonda Rd. selling the fruits of their labor.

She belonged to the Waterford Home Bureau and was active helping with the local Boy Scouts.

More recently, she had a memorable trip to her native Ohio with her son to celebrate her 85th and her sister's 95th birthdays. This past June, her family and friends gathered on the farm to celebrate her 90th birthday.

She was predeceased by her siblings, William and John Kradlak and Amy Predota.

Interment will follow in the Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville which Lulu and Tom were instrumental in helping to establish.
