Lois Marcella (Loggains) Moore, age 87, of Charleston, Arkansas, passed away from her earthly life into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday morning, October 16, 2015 in Fort Smith.
She was born March 12, 1928 in Rogers County, Oklahoma to the late Jessie Cleveland Loggains and Ella Izora (Belote) Loggains.

Lois was the middle daughter of her immediate family. She was a homemaker and worked various jobs in her lifetime. She dearly loved God, her husband, her family and church family, and her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents of Poteau, Oklahoma; her husband of 60 years, Dave Benjamin Moore; three brothers, Everett James Loggains, Roy Hardin Loggains, and Troy Leon Loggains, all of Poteau; two sisters, Opal Marie Loggains Barnes of Poteau and Cleo Maude Loggains Gregory of Shawnee, Oklahoma.

She met the love of her life, Dave Benjamin Moore, originally from Monroe, Oklahoma, when she was 14 years old. Dave served his country proudly in World War II, and when he returned home, Lois, now age 19, was waiting for him. They married in Van Buren on December 17, 1947. The Lord blessed them with a happy life together for over 60 years. Dave preceded his bride in death on August 8, 2008.

Lois was a Christian lady and godly woman in every sense of the word. She was a founding member of Hosanna Free Will Baptist Church and faithfully attended as long as she was able. She lived by the highest of standards, the kind of standards mentioned in Proverbs 31:10 which reads "Who cand find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies." She loved to be outside, ride horses with "Pop", a good watermelon, dangly earrings, a good yard sale, and the colors red, white and blue, just to name a few things. No one could ever make a pot of homemade chicken and dumplings better than "Mom." Her homemade cornbread dressing and tacos were also loved by many, as well as her pies and cakes. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 20th, at Hosanna Free Will Baptist Church, 2107 Rice Loop, Charleston, Arkansas, with interment beside her loving husband, Dave B. Moore in Hosanna Cemetery, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

Born to this couple were four sons. Important things were instilled in them by their parents, things such as honesty, sincerity, kindness, friendship, and love. Dave and Lois moved their family to Arkansas in 1962 and remained there the rest of their lives.

Lois, known simply as "Mom" or "Mawmaw" by many, is survived by her oldest son, Evangelist David Harold Moore and wife Linda "Lynn"; second son, Melvin Edward Moore and wife Carol; third son, Rev. Randy V. Moore and wife Nancy; and youngest son, Tony Leon Moore and wife Ronda, all of the Charleston area. She loved her nine grandchildren, Tammie Adele Phillips and husband John Jr., Tracie Lynn Dorsey and husband Kenny, Amanda K. "Mandy" Seratt, Justin Randal "Butch" Moore and wife JaQuita, Lacey Anne Lewis, Kim Cole and husband Mike, Laura Hodgens and husband Paul, Nickey Swink and husband Jon, and Tony "TJ" Moore, Jr. and wife Audrey. Her extended family she loved included (17) great-grandchildren and (6) great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jon Swink, Justin Moore, Brendon Moore, Dalton Moore, Kenny Dorsey, and John Phillips.
