Rita Jacquinot, 67, former resident of the Dollar Bay area, passed away on June 24, 2014, at Our Lady of Mercy Health and Rehab in Hubbell.

She was born Rita Niemala on September 9, 1946, in Traverse City, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Niemala and Mary (Deges) Niemala; a brother, David Walters; and her former husband, Ray Jacquinot.

She was survived by a daughter, Michelle (Andy) Hardy of Jacksonville, Florida; two granddaughters, Kaya and Isabelle; a special friend, Sharon (Tom) Codere and family of Lake Linden; and numerous cousins.
