Truman Freeman was the son of Enoch Freeman and Lucy Fobes/Forbes. He was born in New Hampshire. He lived for a while in the "old Methodist Parsonage, or Sam'l Selden house, in Lebanon, NH. He was a shoemaker. He married Hannah Dow 18 Oct 1804 in Plainfield, NH. They had eight children. See Hannah's biography for their names and birth dates. In 1810 he was in Lebanon, Grafton, NH (census). By 1821 he was living in NY. His youngest son, Norman, was born in Caledonia, Livingston, NY in 1821. A biography of Norman says Truman was a leather merchant and died in Albany, NY. Truman's death date is from a Freeman Bible owned by a descendant of his son John Dow Freeman.
