Ada Edith Cokley, 101, of Andrews, died June 14, 2005.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 17, 2005, at 1 p.m. at Weldon Hill Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. James H. Cokley. Burial, directed by McKnight-Fraser Funeral Home, will follow in Wallace Cemetery.

Mrs. Cokley was born in the Rhems section of Williamsburg County on Dec. 12, 1903, the daughter of the late John Brown and Mary Flowers Heyward. She was a memer of Weldon Hill Baptist where she was Mother of the church.

Surviving are two sons, Frank Cokley of Andrews ad Richard Cokley of Harrisburg, N.C.; three daughters, Anna Cokley, Vera N. Rowell of Andrews and Janie Cokley of Harrisburg; a sister, Margaret Green of Georgetown; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.
