Helen was born August 7, 1921 in West, Texas to Tomas and Agnes Plsek.
She was working in the Registrar’s Office at Texas A&M University when she met and married Bob. After his graduation from Veterinary School in 1943, they moved to Port Arthur where he began his practice. Mrs. Wilcox was a homemaker until 1979, when she became the Office Manager at Wilcox Veterinary Clinic. She did all the accounting and payroll, by hand, until 2012, when at the age of 91, she retired due to her failing eyesight.
Helen is survived by her four children, Fran and son-in-law Adam, Debbie and son-in-law Ray, Bob and daughter-in-law Rebecca and Jane and son-in-law Tom; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Bob Wilcox, predeceased her in 2002 and her favorite Chihuahua companion, Amy, in 2009.
