Bertis James Moore, 92, a retired sander for Superior Coach, died Monday, October 12, 2015 at his daughter's home in Morton.
Services aree 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015 at the Wilcox Chapel with Rev. Allen Jenkin and Rev. Rodney Thompson officiating. Burial is in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. Wilcox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Moore was a native of Leake County and of the Pentecostal Faith. He served in the United States Army during World War II.
Survivors include: his daughters, Ruth Janette Burnside of Morton, Evelyn Roberts of North Little Rock, Ar, and Diann Williams of Monticello, AR; 3 sisters, Lizzie Ruth Chamblee of Carthage, Lavern Kemp of Carthage, and Margaret Fortenberry of Jackson; 7 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were his grandsons.
