J.J. Korona, 59, Trenton Furrier

John Joseph Korona, 59, of Randall Avenue died Thursday evening at Mercer Hospital after suffering a stroke a week earlier.

Born in Bitumen, Pa., Mr. Korona was a resident of Trenton for the past 52 years. He was a World War II army veteran.

For the past 30 years. Mr. Korona was the owner-operator of Korona and Ceffelli Furs on South Broad Street. He was a member of the New Jersey Chapter of the Master Furrier's Guild and the 655 Club, a neighborhood club.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth Elizabeth James Korona; one daughter, Mrs. Sharon Luthke; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Jonsoon and Miss Ann Korona; two brothers; Anthony and Albert Korona, and several nieces and nephews, all of Trenton.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Winowicz Funeral Home, Adeline and Beatty Streets, with the Rev. Phillip R. Zink, pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, in the veteran's section.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
