Malcolm D. Paddock
ABINGTON, Ind.-Malcolm Dale Paddock, age 79, of Abington, died Friday, June 24, 2005, at Golden Rule Nursing Rehab Center after an extended illness.
He was born May 15, 1926, in Abington to Rife H. and Helen Woods Paddock. Dale was a heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Union 103. H e was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army, serving in the Philippines and occupying forces in Japan. He was a member of Stone Valley Church.
Survivors include his wife, Doris, to whom he was married Nov. 30., 1941; son; Larry Paddock of Indianapolis; daughters, Lynda Jones of New Paris, Ohio, Karen (Ted) Cox of Greenfield, Kathy (Rick) Neuman of Greenfield, Mary (Clayton) Wright of Greenfield; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Shirley (Chet) Corder of Abington and Carolyn Stainbrook of Richmond; and one brother, William Paddock (Linda) of Abington.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Paddock and his wife Juanita; and brother-in-law, Robert Stainbrook.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2005, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., Centerville, with Pastor Anthony White officiating. Burial with military honors conducted by the Wayne County Veterans Council will be in Abington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
