CENTERVILLE-Rife H. Paddock, 84, resident of the Golden Rule Nursing Center, Richmond, died there Monday after a long illness.
He was a native of Union County and lived most of his life in the Abington area. He was a retired employee of Avco in Richmond, and also had been bus driver and custodian for the Abington Township School. He was a member of the Abington Christian Church, and had served on the church board and on the board of Abington Cemetery Association. He was a member of Brownsville Masonic Lodge No. 70.
Survivors include two daughters; Mrs. Chet Corder, R.R. 1 and Mrs Robert Stainbrook of Richmond; three sons, Robert of Greensfork, Dale of Centerville and William of Brownsville; 19 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral service for Rife H. Paddock will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Abington Christian Church, with Daniel H. Hamilton, pator of the church officiating. Burial will be in Abington Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Mills Funeral Home in Centerville, where a Masonic service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
