Larry Orlando Hanna, 75, of Pinehurst, formerly of Springfield, Oregon, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on October 8, 2015, at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Services will start at Cox Memorial Funeral Home at 4888 US Hwy 1, Vass NC 28394 on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 1:30 for the Fireman's procession to the graveside service at Pinelawn Memorial Park at 1105 W Morganton Rd, Southern Pines, NC 28387 with Pastor Allen Hale officiating. The service will include military honors. A celebration of life will immediately follow at the home of Mike and Kat Wilson in Pinehurst, NC.

Larry was born in Iowa on January 26, 1940 to Ralph Orlando and Roberta Clark Hanna. He served his country in the U. S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He worked as a volunteer firefighter in the Dexter Fire Department in Oregon. He was a very special father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving daughters, Kat Gesh-Wilson (Mike), Tammy Heinzle; grandchildren, NaKesha, Michayla, Michelle (Jeff), Kevin and great-grandson, Grayson; sister, Marie Prescott (Red); brothers, Jerry Hanna (Carole), Butch Hanna and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Orlando and Roberta Clark Hanna. Remembrances may be made to Dexter Fire Department, 82781 Barbre Road, Dexter, Oregon 97431. The family has entrusted services to Cox Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory.
