Houston G. "Jerry" Sumrall

Houston G. "Jerry" Sumrall, age 75, of Biloxi, passed away on October 11, 2015.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Houston "Red" Sumrall and Mary Lou Riley Sumrall, and a brother, Modi Sumrall.

Survivors include his wife, Sybil Sumrall, 1 son, Allen (Gina) Sumrall, 2 step-daughters, Monique (John) Word, and Suzanne (David) Lockwood, 1 brother, Bud (Rhonda) Sumrall, 6 granddaughters, 9 great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

He retired from MS Power Company in 1997 after 33 years of service. He enjoyed visiting and helping people. He was a longtime member of Popps Ferry Baptist Church in Biloxi where he served as a deacon.

The funeral service will be at 2 pm Thursday, October 15, 2015, at Popps Ferry Baptist Church, 2000 Popps Ferry Rd., Biloxi. Visitation will be from 1 - 2 pm. Interment will be in Handsboro Cemetery.
