"Mrs. Mary Baker, wife of the late John Baker, aged 72 years, died Saturday morning from pneumonia.
She was born in Fairfield, Iowa, February 23, 1828, where she resided until 1858, when she was married and came to Kansas and settled at Kickapoo, where she lived until her death.
Two sons survive her, Sam and Charley, both of this place.
The funeral took place Sunday afternoon from the Methodist church, Rev. A. R. Sandlin officiating, after which the remains were interred in the Kickapoo cemetery."
