Edmond - MARYLEA FISHER, 76, of Edmond, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2006, in Oklahoma City.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church in Marlow with the Rev. Max Pyron and Dr. Joe Ligon officiating. Burial will be in Marlow Cemetery under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home of Marlow.
Marylea was born July 29, 1930, in Marlow, to John C. and Dortha D. Leach Fisher. Marylea graduated from Marlow High School in 1948.
She received her bachelor's degree in 1952 from the Oklahoma College for Women in home economics.
Marylea lived in several towns in Oklahoma: Marlow, Tulsa for five years, Shawnee for 25 years, and Edmond.
She retired from Oklahoma Natural Gas after 25 years of service.
She loved to travel; she took many trips around the United States and to Europe with the other member of the Ongoers Travel Group with Oklahoma Natural Gas.
When Marylea lived in Shawnee, she was a member of First Baptist Church, and when she moved to Edmond, she transferred her membership to Faith Bible Church.
Survivors include a brother, Johnny Fisher and wife Joy of Marlow; two nieces, Cindy Maddox of Houston, Texas, and LeAnn Sellers of Marlow; a nephew, John D. Fisher of Geneseo, Ill.; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Bearers will be Jack Graves, Tom Mahaffey, D.B. Green, Terry Brown, Alvin Zinn, Joe Gray, Bill Renfrow and Jimmy Taylor.
