According to Crypts of London by Malcolm Johnson . . . (before 1920) "a public notice was issued asking for relatives to come forward. Only one reply was received - from Charles Hayward, who lived near Honiton in Devon. He claimed the remains of an ancestor whose monument was in the church, Sir Rowland Hayward, and these were transported to St. Michael's, Owliscombe, Devon."
