Frances R. Rhodes


McCONNELLSBURG – Frances Rosella Rhodes, 78, of Leisure Living Retirement Home, Fort Littleton, for more than a year, and formerly of McConnellsburg, died Monday evening, July 30, 1990, in Fulton County Medical Center.


Born Feb. 13, 1912, in Fort Littleton, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Laura Kerlin.


She was a member of Cito United Methodist Church.


Mrs. Rhodes had worked at Johnny's Motel.


She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Rhodes, in 1986; three sons; and two daughters.


Surviving are a daughter, Janet (Mrs. Melvin "Tom") Souders of McConnellsburg; a brother, Robert Kerlin of Hagerstown, Md.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.


Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 322 N. Second St. The Rev. David Reams will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.


Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today; however, the family will receive friends from 7 to 9.
