Suggested Edit: Hi, use this as you see fit. Couldn't find any more articles and I don't know the family names except for "Harmon." I think the dateline should be "Arcola" and not "Alcola," but that's what was printed.

FATAL STABBING AFFRAY
Special Telegram to The Inter Ocean

Alcola, III, July 26.— A horrible stabbing affray occurred four miles from here last night among a party of young men, all of well-to-do and respectable parents. They went out to chivarari some newly-married parties. There were two McCabes, Harmon McCoy, Hinds, and Harvey Campbell, and others. On the way one McCabe declined to go, and McCoy proposed to duck him in the river, and took hold of him, whereupon the other McCabe and one Engle, his brother-in-law, it is alleged, rushed upon McCoy and gave him five stabs, either of which was fatal. He died while being carried home The same party also stabbed and shot a young man named Grant so that he will probably die. McCoy recently married a young wife. McCabe fled and escaped. Engle was arrested and held to trial at the October term of court. It is believed an old grudge was at the bottom of the bloody deed.
