Maurice Eugene Seymour, 85, formerly of Rossville, passed away on Thursday (Oct. 8, 2015) at Fountain Senior Assisted Living Center in Orange, California.

He was born on April 21, 1930 in Rossville, the son of Glenn and Mildred (Abbott) Seymour. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

He is survived by two sisters, Donna Lithgow and Bonnie (Jack) Luttrell; one brother, Lonnie (Sue) Seymour; 18 nieces and nephews, including his caregiver, Ellen (Reid) Johnson.

Maurice was a graduate of Rossville High School in 1948. After earning a B.S. in education from Illinois State Normal University in 1952, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving at Parks Air Force Base (California) and Elmendorf Air Force Base (Alaska).

Following his discharge, he moved to Southern California where he was a systems analyst for Pacific Mutual Life Insurance Company, retiring in April of 1992.

He was an accomplished amateur photographer and a collector of Disneyana. He took countless photographs at Disneyland Anaheim, Disney World Orlando and Disneyland Paris. His photographs were shown at Disney events as well as local art exhibitions.
