Sophie Hopper Ill Month, Dies

Mrs. Sophie Hopper of 1029 Dry Creek Rd died late Saturday at Parks Victory Hospital following an illness of one month. She was 70.

A native of San Francisco, Mrs. Hopper moved to Napa in 1924 with her husband, Ralph W. Hopper. Since 1938 they had resided at 1029 Dry Creek Rd. with their daughter, Mrs. Alice Thomas. Prior to coming to Napa they lived in Lake County. Hopper was a driver for Pier's Stage Line for many years.

Mrs. Hopper was a member of the Presbyterian Church, the Women's Association of the church, the Rebekah Lodge and the Eastern Star of Clearlake Highlands.

She is survived by her husband, four daughters, Mrs. Alice Thomas, Mrs. Beatrice Fredericksen of Willows, Mrs. Hazel Heavey of San Rafael, and Mrs. Olga Dunn of San Francisco; two brothers, George Enderlin of Calistoga and Henry Enderlin of Lower Lake; two sisters, Mrs. E. Hinton of Santa Rosa and Mrs. H. Nielsen of St. Helena; and three grandchildren, Kenneth Fredericksen of Truckee, Suzanne Thomas of Napa, and Diane Dunn of San Francisco.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Claffey and Rota Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Tulocay Memorial Masoleum [sic].
