Richard C. Parrish, 82, of Cecil, passed away at 4:26 am, Friday, December 11th, at his residence.

He was born in Paulding, on November 9, 1927, a son of the late Elizabeth (AuFrance) and Walter Parrish.

Dick graduated from Paulding High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corp as a Sgt from 1945 to 1948 and held the Middleweight and Light-Heavy Boxing titles, while at Keesler Field, Mississippi, in 1946.

He retired from LaFarge, Paulding and was a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Parish & the Paulding Eagles.

Dick married Pauline Sanders, who passed away in 1971. In 1976 he married Donna Watson Crabill, who survives.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Donna; sons, Richard (Cheryl) & Stephen (Joyce), both of Antwerp, Ronald (Jean) of Hicksville, Kenneth of Edgerton, Joseph Crabill of Ft Wayne & Jeffrey (Christine) Crabill of Antwerp; daughters, Anna Conley of Antwerp & Christine Parrish of Thousand Oaks, CA, Lonna (Don) Nelson of Suffolk, VA, Pamela (Craig) Mills of Wappakoneta & Kimberly (Jim) Bowers of Paulding; brothers, Robert of Ossian, IN & Russell (Pauline) of Paulding; 22 grandchildren & 21 great grandchildren.

His funeral service is at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, at 11 am on Tuesday, December 15th.

Viewing is Monday, 2-4 &6-8 pm & Tuesday, one hour prior to his service.

He will be laid to rest at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
