Lucille A. Judy, 87, of Upper Tract, WV passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, Virginia, following a long illness.

She was born Elizabeth Lucille Adamson on March 14, 1928 in Onego, West Virginia, and was a daughter of the late Vernon C. Adamson and Pearl Morrel Adamson.

A graduate of Circleville High School, she worked for Pendleton County Schools as a teacher for two years in the Smoke Hole area.

She later became a mother and homemaker.

Lucille was a member of the Jake Hill Methodist Church and later Upper Tract Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher.

She was also active in the Farm Women’s Club and babysat for numerous families throughout the community.

She baked cakes for many occasions and crocheted countless afghans over the years for persons and events.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 64 years, Rodney B. Judy, who died March 22, 2014 and three sisters – Helen Butler, Betty Adamson and Sue Adamson.

Surviving are –
Two sons –
Kenneth B. Judy of Upper Tract, WV
Danny R. Judy and wife, Nicole of Harrisonburg, VA

One daughter –
Janet D. Watts and husband, Christopher of Maysville, WV

Five grandchildren –
Gina Davis of Franklin, WV
Danny Judy, Jr. of Harrisonburg, VA
Brison Judy of Churchville, VA
and Colton and Zane Watts of Maysville, WV

Two great-grandchildren –
Kennedy and Carter Armentrout

And numerous nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin, West Virginia.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 12, 2015 in the chapel of the Kimble Funeral Home with Rev. Leon Hevener and Pastor Greg Adamson officiating.

Interment will be at Cherry Hill Cemetery in Upper Tract, WV.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Lucille’s name to the local SPCA or Hospice.
