Patrick was born on November 29, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois the son of the late Thomas and Bridget (nee Nestor) Hynes.
He worked as an Ironworker for Chicago Local #1 and Boilermakers #374.
He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Crown Point. He was a member of American Legion Post #20 and the Moose Lodge.
Patrick enjoyed model trains, fishing, boating and antique cars; he was an avid Notre Dame, Cubs and Bears fan.
Patrick will be remembered as a loving, husband, brother, uncle, brother-in-law and friend.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy J. (nee Pykosz) of Crown Point; brother, Thomas (Faith) Hynes of Winfield, Indiana; brother in law, Rich (Jill) Pykosz of Munster, Indiana, several nieces and nephews and many other loving family members and friends.
Patrick was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Myles Hynes.
